Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve Topographic Map Information

The Alaska Natural History Association (ANHA) outlet located inside the Bettles Ranger Station/Visitor Center carries a small supply of large scale (1:400,000) National Geographic Trails Illustrated maps for public sale. No detailed maps of the area are available for public distribution by the park.

Topographic maps in the scale of 1:250,000 are available from US Geological Survey offices for a nominal charge. Many of the maps are available in the large scale of 1:630,000 series of topographic quads.

Also, check with the air-taxi, outfitter or guide service you will be utilizing. Your local college or university may have a repository of topographic maps.
